The Laurel meets The Lords in London

Year 10 had an amazing opportunity on Tuesday 28th January to go to London on a special tour to see the inside of the UK Parliament at Westminster.

Students were met by a tour guide who explained all the history of Westminster, the House of Commons and House of Lords, they also sat in both houses whilst real life debates were taking place.

After seeing both houses in action, time was then allocated for the students to split into smaller groups and have question and answer sessions with various Baroness’ and Lords.

The students were a real credit to the Academy, and an excellent day was enjoyed by all.
